Plant some seeds and glowing flowers grow, illuminating everything around them. (Munch on a glowing flower and your character will glow for a few minutes, too.) Anti-Melee boss design - A lot of the bosses in this game just feel like they were designed to be played with a Ranged weapon, which is fine, but why not give the option to a Melee class to also be able to deal damage from range. After spending over two years in early access, Core Keeper launched in full for PC and current-gen consoles last month, and given how well it has been received, and how well it did over the course of its extended early access period, it’s pelo surprise that the game has got off to an impressive start.

I’m not convinced Core Keeper can match the quality and scope of its best-in-class inspirations, but it’s already worth a look in Early Access, and if the rest of the pieces fall into place leading up to the full launch, it’ll be fondly remembered. [Early Access Review]

Players can farm most skills with various AFK methods, to gain earlier advantage from some stronger buffs and useful talents. However, Core Keeper Gameplay this is unnecessary in a normal playthrough. Especially since skill levelling was made substantially quicker in the 0.5 Desert Update.

TL;DR: Core keeper is a game with potential, but with very shallow progression systems that can make it feel repetitive very quickly.

You might also want to let the naturally occurring environment give you a little help along the way. Some resources — such as glow tulips or even little clouds of fireflies — can be just as useful when they’re left alone to help light your path.

Mold Vein Necklace are great for a strong ranged loadout, with poison, recommended for fighting Azeos. They both drop from the enemies in these very difficult sub-biome dungeons, that give little other payoff.

While the likes of Terraria and Valheim continue to hog headlines, Core Keeper offers strong competition. Its compelling gameplay, excellent art style, and extensive range of content make it worth diving in.

Minimap: This shows you the map of the area immediately around you. Icons for bosses that you have located will also show up on this map, giving you an idea of which direction you need to go in order to reach them.
